Tara Hirebet is the ex-Regional New Business Director for R/GA Asia Pacific, where she covered its Singapore, Shanghai and Sydney offices and Asia. Previously, she was Head of Asia Pacific for Contagious.
Hirebet has an eclectic background in advertising,market research, trends, foresight and innovation. She has worked as a creative for agencies like Publicis, Ogilvy and TBWA. She spent three years in China working on Dell /Alienware at Enfatico/Y&R Beijing, then qualitative market research firm Flamingo Shanghai for clients including Puma, Diageo and McDonalds and local youth consultancy, China Youthology. Hirebet returned to Singapore, to set up trendwatching.com's Asia Pacific office and run a global “Future of Youth” FMCG project at WPP’s The Futures Company.
Hirebet is frequently invited to speak on human factors and user behaviour, cultural insights and urban innovation, especially in Asia. She has also spoken at TEDx Singapore, Strata & Hadoop World (Big Data), SXSW2015 (Chinese female digital behaviour and UX design) SXSW 2014 (Overcrowded Asian Cities & Innovation), TEDx Women, Mashable Social Good Summit SG, the UNDP, Visa, Grey Goose and Spotify Global. Hirebet has written columns on Asian consumer behaviour for Campaign Asia and the Korea Times.
