Pippa Leary is currently the CEO of APEX (Australian Premium traded programmatically. APEX is the latest example of a global trend of alliances being formed to differentiate quality content in digital media and ensure the ongoing viability of the premium publisher business model.
Leary has also sat on the board of Solstice Media as a Non-Executive Director since March 2014, and since July 15 has taken up the position of Trustee Director at EquipSuper.
Prior to becoming the CEO of APEX, Leary set the strategic direction for the Metro Division of Fairfax Media, publisher of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review as the as Director of Strategy and Market Insights. She also held the position of Managing Director of the Media Division at Fairfax Digital where she was responsible for growing revenue and audience usage of smh.com.au, theage.com.au, Brisbane Times and WA Today.
Earlier in her career, Leary worked for ninemsn as the Business Manager of the Lifestyle section and the Network Services Director covering E-Commerce and Communications services within ninemsn including Hotmail, Instant Messenger, Search and Community.
Leary has been a freelance journalist, and has lectured at Sydney University and the University of New South Wales. She has an Honours Degree in History (First Class and Medal) from the University of Sydney.
